Research vision
The Nott group is interested in understanding how the epigenome and chromatin architecture regulates cell type gene expression programs in the healthy brain and during aging and disease. We are approaching this challenge using next-generation sequencing of patient-derived brain tissue and stem cell-derived models of disease.
Our group is situated in the UK Dementia Research Institute (DRI) and the Department of Brain Sciences at Imperial College London. The UK DRI is comprised of seven centers embedded at six major universities in the UK, which aims to bring together expertise to find new treatments for dementia. Our location is easily accessible to world-class research institutes within London and beyond, which has provided a unique setting to do research!
